Capabilities

Every path from idea to finished part.

Our Apopka shop serves Orlando and Central Florida with design, rapid prototyping, fabrication, and short-run manufacturing. From a first idea to finished parts and assemblies, one 7Fabs team reviews the requirements and keeps the work moving. Send what you have and we'll recommend a practical path.

Product development

Rapid Prototyping

We help you develop, test, and refine ideas with high-quality prototypes for form, fit, function, presentation, and manufacturability review — from a first proof-of-concept through pre-production builds.

  • Concept development and sketches
  • Proof-of-concept builds
  • Functional prototypes
  • Visual and appearance models
  • Material selection guidance
  • Iteration and refinement
  • Functional testing support
  • Small-batch prototype runs

Additive manufacturing

3D Printing

FDM, SLA, and SLS printing for functional parts, fixtures, enclosures, display models, props, and short production runs. We help you choose the process and material that fit the job — not just the printer that’s free.

  • FDM for strong, economical parts
  • SLA for fine detail and smooth surfaces
  • SLS for durable functional nylon parts
  • Fixtures, jigs, and shop aids
  • Display and presentation models
  • Short-run printed production

Design support

Design & Engineering Support

Whether you have a napkin sketch or a full assembly that needs design-for-manufacturing cleanup, our team creates the models, drawings, and documentation your project needs to move forward.

  • 3D CAD modeling from sketches or ideas
  • Engineering drawings and documentation
  • Assembly modeling
  • Design-for-manufacturing review
  • File repair and conversion
  • Revision support during prototyping

Capture & recreate

3D Scanning & Reverse Engineering

Have a part but no drawings? We can capture physical parts, measure critical features, and recreate manufacturable CAD — useful for legacy components, replacement parts, and improving existing designs.

  • 3D scanning of physical parts
  • Measurement and feature capture
  • CAD reconstruction
  • Legacy and obsolete part recreation
  • Fit and interface verification
  • Design improvement during rebuild

Subtractive & forming

Metal Fabrication

Machined, cut, formed, and welded metal parts — from one-off brackets to small-batch production. Finishing options like powder coating and anodizing are available to complete the job.

We review material, critical dimensions, finish, and quantity together, then confirm the process and timing in your quote.

Molding & forming

Plastic Fabrication

Beyond 3D printing, we cut, form, and mold plastic parts: laser-cut acrylic, vacuum-formed shells, silicone molding and castings, and scale models — for prototypes and short production runs.

Beyond mechanical

Electronics

Prototypes don't stop at the enclosure. We build working electronics into projects — wiring, boards, sensors, lighting, and control — so your prototype doesn't just look right, it works.

  • Working electronic prototypes
  • Wiring harnesses and integration
  • Sensors, lighting, and control
  • Enclosures designed around your board
  • Repair and retrofit of existing devices
  • PCB production planning

Surface & appearance

Finishing & Engraving

The right finish makes a prototype presentable and a production part durable. We finish parts we make — and parts you bring us.

  • Painting
  • Powder coating
  • Anodizing
  • Dyeing
  • Sandblasting and texturing
  • Laser engraving and marking

Beyond the prototype

Short-Run & Managed Manufacturing

When your prototype is ready to become a product, we support low-volume production and coordinate the next quantity — keeping one point of contact for quality, packaging, and logistics.

Production capacity, lead times, and pricing are confirmed per project during quoting.

Specialty work

Creative & Specialty Fabrication

Props, cosplay pieces, display models, themed environments, tradeshow pieces, and one-of-a-kind builds. If it needs to look right and hold up, we can build it — and we love the unusual ones.

  • Props and production pieces
  • Cosplay parts and armor
  • Display and presentation models
  • Wood CNC and custom display components
  • Themed and exhibit fabrication
  • Tradeshow support pieces
  • Electronics-assisted prototypes
